A lawyer with 10 years’ experience in private practice, Hang has acted for multinational, corporate, trustee, high net worth individual and not-for-profit clients across a broad spectrum of commercial, security and property matters.

Hang specialises in volume and complex property transactions, including large-scale property divestitures, acquisitions, put and call options, development consents, off-the-plan contracts, easements, real estate investment trusts, and all forms of leasing.

Hang also advises on complex financing, refinancing and security agreements, construction contracts, unregulated mergers and acquisitions, assignments and novations, intellectual property matters, corporate restructures, trust and corporate governance, and commercial contracts.

Experience

Hang’s past commercial matters have included:

  • Acting on the sale of a biotech start-up to private equity for ~$35M.
  • Acting on the sale of a business unit in a human resources company to a tech start-up for ~$50M, and subsequent creation and structuring of a further business unit.
  • Acting on the corporate group restructure and consolidation of five Australian subsidiaries of a publicly-listed FTSE 100 company into one consolidated subsidiary entity.
  • Advising on site licensing and development for a community facility and centre of excellence for the Parramatta National Rugby League Club.
Hang’s past property matters have included:
  • Acting on a large-scale disposal and associated leasing matters in respect of a fully leased CBD tower for ~$130M.
  • Acting for a fund manager on the leasing and disposal of multiple regional New South Wales and Queensland shopping centres for ~$10-$35M.
  • Conducting property due diligence on multiple interstate sites and advising on the property related risks for a number of proposed corporate acquisitions, including for ASX-listed purchasers.
  • Acting on the freehold acquisition of industrial manufacturing sites for ~$5-$10M, including by way of assignment of existing call option rights and exercise of call options.
