Kim is an Accredited Specialist in property law, committed to delivering effective commercial solutions. Kim enjoys developing an understanding of her client’s business as the basis for solving their legal issues. Her experienced approach is coupled with a commercial calm focus.

With over 20 years’ experience as a property and transactional lawyer, Kim has a deep understanding of a broad range of property and commercial matters. KIm’s experience extends to planning and local government and public land matters, as well as estate planning and dispute resolution.

Experience

Kim’s past property matters have included:

  • Acting for private individuals and corporations on due diligence, disposal and acquisition of residential, commercial, retail and industrial property.
  • Acting on large-scale long term property transactions, involving multiple stages and various title models (community, strata and Torrens).
  • Leasing and licensing of property, including large commercial and retail leases and Crown land.
  • Drafting development documents in strata, stratum and community title developments.
  • Advising on unique transactions such as airspace leases and heritage floor space acquisitions.
  • Acting on the acquisition and disposal of businesses, with a particular focus on hotel businesses and liquor licensing.
  • Acting on property-related dispute resolution matters, including the acquisition of easements and statutory partitions.
  • Advising on duty and land tax issues.

Kim’s commercial and private clients work has included:

  • Drafting and negotiating partnership, shareholder and unitholder agreements.
  • Advising on and preparing finance and security documents.
  • Advising on estate and family succession planning.
  • Advising on and preparing trust documentation, including testamentary trusts.
  • Acting on applications for probate and letters of administration, and on other applications, in relation to deceased estates, including estate disputes.
