Rebecca has been practising since 2002, and has extensive experience in property and commercial transactions, and estate planning.

Rebecca is involved in a broad range of property related matters, including residential, commercial, industrial and rural transactions. She also has a wealth of experience in estate planning and other elder law matters, such as probate and administration of estates, preparing wills, powers of attorney and enduring guardianships. She also acts in estate disputes.

Rebecca is passionate about supporting and promoting female lawyers and is a current executive committee member of the Women Lawyers Association of New South Wales.

Experience

Rebecca acts for individuals, companies and developers in all aspects of property related matters. Her past property matters have included:

  • The sale and purchase of land, including commercial, residential and industrial premises, en globo purchases for developers, rural properties and water access licences.
  • Managing all aspects of developments and off-the-plan sales, including strata and community titles: from the preparation of master documentation and contracts, s.88B instruments, and disclosure statements, to managing the end sales until completion.
  • Acting for vendors and purchasers in respect of the sale and purchase of businesses, with a particular focus on hotel transactions including the transfer of liquor licences.
  • Acting in respect of commercial, industrial and retail leasing.
  • Advising local government Councils and other governmental authorities in respect of niche property related matters and all aspects of the Local Government Act 1993.
  • Advising on various property related rights and obligations, including easements, restrictions on use, positive covenants, profits à prendre and mortgages.

Rebecca is also an experienced estate planning lawyer. Her past estate matters have included:

  • Preparation of simple through to complex wills, including testamentary discretionary trusts, and special disability trusts.
  • Preparing enduring and general powers of attorney, and appointment of enduring guardians.
  • Providing advice in respect of family provisions claims and deeds of family arrangement.
  • Applications for probate, letters of administration and administration of deceased estates, including preparation of deeds of family arrangement.
  • Other elder law matters, including applications to NCAT where required.
